The Envious Peacock

The Envious Peacock

In a vibrant forest, a peacock named Percy resented the hummingbird, Ruby, for her extraordinary speed and agility. Percy longed to fly as swiftly as Ruby and became consumed by envy.

One day, a predator approached the forest, threatening all the animals. As they fled, Percy's dazzling feathers only hindered his escape, weighing him down. Ruby, on the other hand, easily evaded the predator due to her small size and speed.

As Percy watched Ruby safely soar through the trees, he realized that his envy had blinded him to his own unique qualities. He understood that everyone possesses distinct talents and abilities, and comparing oneself to others only leads to dissatisfaction.

From that day forward, Percy embraced his magnificent feathers, using them to attract a mate and bring joy to those who beheld his beauty. He admired Ruby's swiftness without longing to be her. They became friends, celebrating

their differences and supporting each other.

The moral of the story: Embrace your own unique talents and qualities. Envy only distracts us from appreciating and utilizing the gifts we have been given.
